When painting a bedroom that has crown mouldings, you want to start from the top to the bottom. This means starting with the ceilings first, followed by the crown mouldings, the walls, and lastly the baseboards. There are a few reasons why you should do this; to ensure that no paint drips onto finished areas if you are painting above it, and doing the edges up to the crown mouldings from the walls it gives it a finished look.
